The CoolDrift Versa portability makes it incredibly versatile to fit different needs, but many people have asked us for more specific detail on how to best incorporate it into their lives. I’ll start by saying that each person’s body and physiology is different, so there isn’t a one-size-fits-all rule. The guide below can be used as a starting point that you can adjust following your body’s cues to get the best results for you. If you’ve already been using it and have found success, there’s no need to change what you’re doing. This journey is all about helping you take back control of your sleep.

First time set up: The CoolDrift headband is unlike anything else available, so it’s no surprise that it can take some time to get acclimated. Like when you buy a new pillow, even if it’s better than your old one, it will take some time to adjust to the feel. Set your product up for the first time during the day, and NOT when you’re ready to go to bed. You’ll want to find the right fit for the headband and take some time to experience the new feeling of wearing it. Don’t rush this first experience and don’t do it when you’re already tired. You have a choice of 5 coolness settings for CoolDrift Versa, but it will start in the middle at setting #3 the first time you turn it on. Start with this setting for the first use. All of the settings are effective and should be chosen based on your comfort. If setting #3 feels too cold, turn it down to #2 and see how that feels.

Using CoolDrift Versa: Once you’ve gotten yourself set up, you can start to use it right away to calm your mind and help you sleep. For most people, it can take up to a week of use to really get fully adjusted to the feeling of wearing it. To help with this adjustment, we recommend that for the first 5 nights, you wear the headband for 30 minutes before bed during part of your normal wind down routine. This could be anywhere in your house that you relax before going to bed. You can then remove it before getting into bed. These 30 minutes will calm your mind and relax you so that you can fall asleep faster.

After these 5 days, it’s your choice how you want to continue to use CoolDrift Versa. You can continue to use it only before bed to help fall asleep faster, or you can wear it all night for help with both falling asleep and staying asleep.
